An account of the resource

Pamphlet from the Seventh All-Media Juried Biennial, at the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood, September 19 - November 1, 2015. The third page of the pamphlet reads: In today’s art world, the term “biennial” has become the signifier to the idea of “globalization”, and the international circulation and consumption of culture that serves the interest of largely Western art market. The plethora of art biennials and triennials from places near and far also underscores the debate about the local/global dynamic – do biennials intensify cultural differences, or do they function as equalizing and unifying mechanisms under which identitarian specificities and particularities are subsumed. Exhibiting artist include: Eddie Arroyo, Maria Theresa Barbist, Linda Behar, Sarah-Twiggy Boyer, Todd Brittingham, Lujan Candria, Karla Caprali, Alexander Richard Carbonell, Leo Castaneda, Erika Cespedes, Angelica Clyman, Barbara Cooper Hanson, Stephanie Cunningham, Neil De La Flor, John DeFaro, Colby DeGraat, Cara Despain, Reniel Diaz, Reed Dixon, Jane du Brin, Erman, Daniel Fiorda, Abbey Funk, Justin Gaffrey, Lorna ruth Galloway, Nick Gilmore, Deborah Goldman, George Goodridge, Sandi-Jo Gordon, Isabel Gouveia, Amy Gross, Demina Harriman, Cecilia Hecht, Rachel Henriques, Peter Hosfeld, Carol Jazzar, Maria Soledad Jofre, Brookhart Jonquil, Steven Kenny, Mally Khorasantchi, Sibel Kocabasi, Monique Lassooij, Jill Lavetsky, Dan J.
