Leaflet for the exhibition, Optical Images, at the Miami-Dade Public Library System, March 14 – 26, 1979. The second page of the leaflet reads: Optical Images is an exhibition of original graphics, of books, and manipulative items. The graphics are by Op Artists Yaacov Agam, Carlos Cruz-Diez, Eusebio Sempere, Jesus Rafael Soto, and Victor Vasarely. “Op Art” is a label crated in the mid 1960’s to describe art in which the visual response of the viewer is the primary content of the work. The Op Art images visually tease the eye by contradicting what the viewer knows to be a reality.
