Miami-based artists Chire Regans and Loni Johnson discuss their exhibition Making Visible: The Studio Archives of Loni Johnson & Chire Regans at WAAM. Specifically, this exhibition illustrates the multifaceted ways in which artist/activist practices can create spaces for remembrance and belonging. In Making Visible, we journey alongside and into the interior landscapes of artist sketchbooks, diaries, journals, mementos, ephemera, personal documents, and artwork that bear witness to and offer insight into the processes and discoveries that shape an artist’s experiences.
