Book as Art 10th Anniversary Exhibition
Booklet for an exhibition, Book as Art at the National Museum of Women in the Arts Library and Research Center, March 10 – October 4, 1997. The introduction reads: Book as Art: Tenth Anniversary Exhibition celebrates artist’s books, a unique and intimate art form, which ranges from beautifully illustrated and intricately crafted volumes to objects that take the narrative structure of books in innovative and unexpected direction. The exhibition also introduces and reacquaints viewers with the remarkable talents of thirty-eight artists, among them Molly Van Nice, Pamela Spitzmueller, Renee Strout, Jenny Hunter Groat, and Karla Woisnitza. Other participating artists include: Susan Allix, Mare Blocker, Terry Braunstein, Rosemarie Chiarlone, Johanna Drucker, and Audery Flack.
