The first page reads: The Bienes Center for the Literary Arts and the Florida center for the Book are pleased to sponsor the first annual (1997) Florida Artists’ Book Prize. Among criteria for entering the competition were #1) the artist’s primary residence must be in the State of Florida. #2) the bookwork must be created in 1997, and #3) the work must not be a one-of-a kind nor a trade edition.
